2011’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes smashed all pre-cinema expectations. As with most reboots, many questioned why. Why take something revered as a science-fiction classic and attempt to recreate it, when the previous attempt was received so abysmally?

I'm betting that the tentative title, "Planet of the Apes" is cluing us in on the fact they're making a total remake of the original story with an either long-lived Caesar or a descendant. And maybe those astronauts land in the Icarus in a 500 yr. time jump.
by watching the last film, it looks like part 3 will be purely war between humans and apes in a winner takes all battle, my bet is the apes will win and will push humans to the brink of extinction. go apes.
