Warner Bros Slate Through To 2020 Is Announced

Not to be overshadowed by Marvel’s big Captain America 3 / Iron Man / Civil War rumour action earlier this week, Warner Bros. and DC have gone ahead and slapped a big, fat slab of news down on the table with a release date binge for films including Wonder Woman and Suicide Squad. They have also finally given confirmation that Jason Momoa has been cast as Aquaman and revealed that The Perks Of Being A Wallflower’s Ezra Miller will be The Flash.

Ezra Miller as Barry...just when you think the casting couldn't get any bloody worse.

They look NOTHING alike and judging by the guys previous work won't be able to pull it off.

I really think after Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jesse Einsenberg and now Ezra that DC are trying to pick odd choices to see if they can replicate Heath Ledgers success. Picking an odd choice only for them to turn out to be the best choice they've made. Sorry but lightning doesn't hit twice

For once, youre right.

No idea who this Ezra guy is supposed to be, but he's definitely not someone who seems to fit The Flash.

Im just glad we have the excellent show with much better casting.

"For once, youre right"

Urm.....thanks....I think

Look from what I've seen of him he's a good actor, some think he's great but opinions and all. Nothing I've seen him in though screams "I COULD PLAY BARRY ALLEN...PICK ME...PICK ME".

However people need to remember that just because your a good actor dosen't mean you are right for the role.

George Clooney as Batman - Good actor, good character, awful result.

Ben Affleck as Daredevil - Decent actor, good character, terrible result.

Tommy Lee Jones as Two Face - Great actor, interesting villain, all over the place result

I mean as I've said they look nothing alike, have you seen the guy he looks half Asian, he's not but he does look it.

You make it sound as if it were Clooney, Affleck and Jones' fault that they couldn't make crap scripts in even crappier films work.

Good actor + terrible script = terrible or awkward performance.

Great actor + terrible script = terrible or awkward performance.

Terrible actor + terrible script = terrible performance.

Great actor + Good script = Great/Good performance.

If you give a captain a broken ship & tell him, "Here do the best you can!" and it sinks, it ain't the captain's fault. Period. If you watch all of the Bruce & Alfred scenes from Clooney's Batman & Robin you can tell Clooney really did try his hardest because those scenes were actually good! But there's only so much you can do with "Batcredit card, never leave the cave without it!". Get Joaquin Pheonix or Daniel Day Lewis to say that line convincingly. If you truly believe this name a good-great movie where a good-great actor fell flat.

Ezra is a pretty good actor. With the right script he can make it work. He'll just need one helluva make-over.

Also i don't think they picked Ledger because he was an "Odd choice". That's ridiculous and outright disrespectful to a guy who worked his ass off at an audition trying to re-invent an iconic character. I'd say it's more like thinking outside the box and not being obvious. Mark Strong, Ben Kingsley both very obvious choices for bad guys. Brown haired unknown Christopher Reeve, social pariah Robert Downey Junior, Hugh Jackman who?? and pretty boy Heath Ledger were and are all the biggest gambles and most surprising and iconic cbm performances.

You want obvious typecasting you won't get it here.

"Sorry but lightning doesn't hit twice."

By definition. It can, in fact the Empire State Building in New York city gets struck by lightning about 25 times each year. Even a park ranger by the name of Roy Sullivan was struck by lightning 7 times. Try again.

"You make it sound as if it were Clooney, Affleck and Jones' fault that they couldn't make crap scripts in even crappier films work."

I wasn't talking about the films, I was talking about the characters they were portraying, even with the films being bad the characters were also bad. Least with most shit films you can get good actors where it's like "That film was crap but he was really good as that character, he was the best part of it"

It doesn't matter if he's a good actor, as I've said before you could be a great actor but it doesn't mean you can play any role. Nothing the guy has done makes me think he can pull off the role.

"You want obvious typecasting you won't get it here"

Nope, I want casting where I can look at them and go "Yeah he's great and he looks the part aswel". You make it seem it's impossible but it's not, there are a shit load of talented actors out there who could of been these characters better then most of the ones casted. Marvel knows how it's done, the majority of their casting has been fantastic. RDJ, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L Jackson...even there smaller characters Clark Gregg, Jon Favreau, Jaimie Alexander, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings etc

Hell I'd rather have Grant Gustin as Barry if that's the case. That's how bad for the role this guy is, least with Grant he looks more for the part.

"By definition. It can, in fact the Empire State Building in New York city gets struck by lightning about 25 times each year. Even a park ranger by the name of Roy Sullivan was struck by lightning 7 times. Try again."

Oh watch out people we got the filmwatches smart arse over here.

"Least with most shit films you can get good actors where it's like "That film was crap but he was really good as that character, he was the best part of it"".

Affleck was the best part of Daredevil (not a great accomplishment, i know). But i can't really think of many other sh*t movies with badly written characters where i've ever said that. Care to name a few?

"Nope, I want casting where I can look at them and go "Yeah he's great and he looks the part aswel"."

You honestly thought RDJ (Who's older, shorter, and way more charismatic than the actual Stark's supposed to be), Scarlett Johansson (who plays a russian terribly by the way), Clark Gregg (he was invented for the movies... you're telling me you knew he was perfect the moment you saw him cast as Coulson???), Idris Elba (A great Black actor as the whitest God ever. What a waste of Elba's talents), Kat Dennings (easily the most annoying Marvel character and same problem as Coulson.) were all perfect for their roles the second they were cast? Bull.... I'm starting to think you're looking at all of these castings in hindsight. Hilarious look into the minds of most Ledger haters,

LH (2007): OMG Ledger as Joker!? NOOO! He has no charisma! He has only been a gay cowboy and has never shown da abilty to portray joker!!!!!

same LH (2008 using hindsight): He was great! I totally knew he would be. He won an Oscar for Brokeback Mountain, a critically acclaimed film. I've though that AAAAAALWAYS!

Hindsight.

"Oh watch out people we got the filmwatches smart arse over here."

Ha!

"Nothing I've seen him in though screams "I COULD PLAY BARRY ALLEN...PICK ME...PICK ME"."

What about him exactly tells you he can't with your magical, one look at him and i can tell you his/her worth, look? Here's my take on why he actually might!

A. Forget Flash for now. Costume does half the work. If you can pull off the atler ego, you can definitely pull off the hero.

B. Barry Allen is a Police scientist, he's smart, very sensitive and caring, fast talking and generally of smaller frame than the rest of the male leaguers. Can Miller play a convincing genuis? He certainly can, not out of the real of possibility. He has that nerdy vibe all over him. And he'l have it no matter how big he ever gets! Just look at Tobey Maguire or Christopher Reeve for proof. Can he play sensitive and caring? Already has. Fast talking and small yet olympic runner frame? Both easily attainable with a few months of training. He has 2 YEARS!

C. There is no c.
