All in all, Arkham was a great episode with a pointless villain. Gotham continues to improve every week, meaning that the writers are taking the show in a positive direction. Unfortunately, some of the same problems consistently arise—Fish Mooney, cartoony characters and pointless melodrama: the audience will have to wait and see if these elements could be improved—if it does not, Gotham, at its greatest aspiration, will be nothing more than a second tier show.
