BAD
The new Batman-without-Batman show is silly, broad and too full of shitty winks to ever be enjoyed.
During the cold open of last night’s Gotham I simply threw up my hands and quit. What even IS this show, where a crooked banker gets attached to a weather balloon and then fatally floated into the heavens? What kind of a tone is this mishmash of a show going for?
Chillopedia: Sometimes, the most hated characters seen on TV can fall into either side of the spectrum. So, here are 15 of the most hated TV characters of all time.
The Doomsday Cult of Antares De La Luz Review: The documentary explores how the cult members were coerced in the group and made accomplice of heinous crimes.
Don’t let the cringey awkwardness of The Office fool you: Michael Scott would actually be the perfect boss.
The whole thing is totally pointless and the sooner it's cancelled the better chance of a good show replacing it. I would of rather had an old series coming back for a short film or more episodes like FRINGE.
It's basically doing what Arrow has done (and possibly the Flash) because it's made with the mainstream audience in mind it's screwing around with the source material and doing whatever they want with it, except respect it.
Can you honestly believe what this show would of been like if they stuck with their original idea about it just being about Bullock and Gordon...look how many villains they are using at the minute and other Batman references.
I enjoy the show for what it is, it does feel unecessary to have a Batman show without Batman yes, but its no way in hell comparable to Forever and Robin.
I quite enjoy the show so far. I think it should focus more on the solving of cases than the winks and nods to references and characters, but I feel it's good so far. It's entertaining. I don't understand why people complain about it being a Batman show without Batman. It's not a Batman show. It's from the Batman universe. And let's not pretend like The Dark Knight Rises had a whole lot of Batman either :P
I really like it and it has some amazing actors. I hope it has a long enough run to have some great stories.
I quite like that it is not all based around Batman. We have had enough Batman centered shows/movies. There are other rich characters in the Batman universe so it would be good to see how they pan out.
I feel its got a good mix of Nolanverse and Comicverse.
Can't wait 'til the season 1 cliffhanger where Gordon turns on the Bat-signal and waits 20 years while the show's canceled. And Harvey just stands there going "That's how the cookie crumbles, but I'm eat'in it too." while eating a cookie he stole off a girl scout.
That's it. Fade to black.
