The "limited series" makes another debut Thursday on FOX with the premiere of Gracepoint, the 10-episode Broadchurch remake that you almost can’t help but compare to Broadchurch — especially with David Tennant playing the lead role in both. The fact that the pilot is nearly scene-for-scene with the original doesn’t help, but we know the two take different paths down the line, with the producers -- including Broadchurch creator Chris Chibnall -- promising a different ending. For argument’s sake, let’s approach Gracepoint as a whole new vehicle, and attempt to forget what the original achieved.
