I loved this movie and I'm going to get this on Bluray, but I have a problem with two things.
1) The apes mostly just grunt and sign at each other in the beginning and at the end they're speaking full sentences amongst each other...why? For the benefit of the humans, I understand, but when it's just them? Spoken word is obviously full of benefits and they seem as intelligent as the humans, so why barely speak before clashing with the humans?
2) The ending...they immediately give up on diplomacy. They have dozens of human witnesses, from apes releasing humans to the fact that there was corruption. And well...the talking apes themselves could vouch for what happened. All they really had to do was lay down their arms, have humans meet the army at the gate, and get everything straightened out. I understand that there's going to be tension, but better a bitter ceasefire than essentially just saying "well, they're mad; I guess we NEED to go to war."
