The Walking Dead puts up huge numbers for AMC, so it should be no surprise they want to expand the franchise, even if they don’t have actual Robert Kirkman comics to work with. But Kirkman will be involved, and the show promises a new group of survivors somewhere else other than Georgia (meaning none of the central Walking Dead cast will likely be peeled off).
