This line comes shortly before the final act of “Gone Girl,” the much anticipated film adaptation of the best-selling book by Gillian Flynn, directed by David Fincher and set for an Oct. 3 release. Spoken sardonically by Ben Affleck’s character, Nick Dunne, the words could just as easily have come straight from Mr. Affleck himself.
