If you haven't already, now is the time to start watching "The Leftovers." Don't be afraid by the name Damon Lindelof hanging over the show, nor it's often unrelenting grim tone. And while the premise — with the drama taking place three years following the mass disappearance of 2% of the world's population — might seem "Lost"-esque, in execution, it's not. And get over the pilot episode which is easily the first season's weakest offering. Beyond that is a fascinating character drama about loss and grief, with yes, supernatural-ish elements, and while it can be uneven, it's undeniably compelling and HBO is banking on folks getting hooked.
