Variety:
Dwayne Johnson is in early talks to star in Robert Ludlum’s “The Janson Directive” for Universal.
If a deal closes, Johnson will also produce with Universal currently out to writers to pen the script.
The book follows a former consular ops agent who, after leaving covert operations due to the high number of sanctioned serial killings, goes into business as private security consultant. Teamed with a sharpshooter, Janson only takes assignments that he believes will lead to helping those in need.
Sources say the studio views it as a Jason Bourne-esque franchise for Johnson and is high on it.
Nekki has announced that the forthcoming gun fu game, SPINE, will receive a movie adaptation to expand the franchise.

Stolen Review: Elle Márjá Eira makes an attempt at creating a story revolving Sámi people of Sweden.
I've never heard of this one. I guess they are looking for something new and exciting. New thriller dramas that haven't been done or have been but new names and all that.
When I first read the title I saw "Universal Eyes Dwayne Johnson for 'The Johnson Directive'"
