Deadline: Fox has acquired rights to Malignant Man, a graphic novel created three years ago by James Wan, who’ll develop it with an eye to direct. Wan helmed the first Saw film, launched the Insidious and The Conjuring fright franchises and is currently directing Fast & Furious 7 at Universal. He will produce Malignant Man with Stephen Christy and Ross Richie for Fox-based production shingle BOOM!, with Adam Yoelin co-producing.
