The Fault In Our Stars (2014) Review | FilmGamesEtc

Nowadays, the majority of the hits in theaters are comprised of either sequels, remakes or adaptations of best selling novels. Original ideas for movies are far and few in between. The Fault In Our Stars stands among the literary fanatics as the newest creation taken straight from the New York’s best selling list. It is based off of the hit novel written by John Green about a story between Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters, two coming of age teens that live a very different life than most. This young star cast features Divergent‘s Shailene Woodley as Hazel and, interestingly enough, her Divergent co-star Ansel Elgort as Augustus. The thing both shares in common is their remarkable battles with cancer. Hazel has thyroid and lung cancer, while Gus has cancer that results in the amputation of his leg. Hazel and Gus meet each other through remarkable circumstances and somehow find comfort in each other.
