I've always *liked* the X-Men more than the Avengers, but let's be realistic..

Let's just stick to justice league vs the avengers the only close fight between two super hero factions, tony would easily weaponize kryptonite to neutralize supermans obvious ability to just toss everybody into space including the hulk lol

Please stop! Professor X would make the Hulk revert back to Banner! Storm would knock Iron Man right out of the Sky.

It would end just like every other comic book head-to-head, it would be a tie! That's the golden rule :P

Its just this simple, look in comics and you would see if the xmen took on the entire avengers west coast +east coast +every avenger xmen would loose, its because of who is in the avengers.

Remember, they have a few eternals, inhumans "black bolt" and you think night crawler can teleport, look at lockjaw but, aside from that the eternals psionics are most of the time far greater than professor x, though with his onslaught persona processor x would be a force to be reckoned with.

But still no match for the likes of Thanos remember the Avengers fight character's like thanos, yest xmen fight characters like nimrod, but even nimrod is no match for Thanos.

Remember moondragon and drax the destroyer and than interloper two of the most powerful psionic characters in marvel that are low end cosmic but still high end , with drax the destroyer unleashed. Many a x-men would fall to just those 3 alone!

The Avengers are no joke. X-men would loose.

I mean cmon... logically speaking... magneto vs ironman.. really? lol

Historically (and recently for that matter) the Avengers have beaten the X-men.

Some of you have to read the comics to understand certain facts here.

First, the Phoenix is NOT an X-man, the Phoenix is just a cosmic entity that just so happens to take control of people.

Second, no Hulks (Hulk, she hulk, skaar, red hulk) can be hit telepathically because when they try, they can't handle the rage that the hulks have ( it's been tried).

Third, as two people above have stated, Hulk did pretty much wipe out the whole team of X-men single handed.

Fourth, Iron Man took out one of the most powerful current X-men (Magneto) simply by having carbon nanotube armor rather than his usual metal armors.

And the most damning factor here is if you read the Avengers vs X-men saga (especially the early chapters) you'd see how the Avengers were beating the X-men at their most powerful without even having the most powerful Avengers on the field to fight.

The only reason the series even lasted as long as it did was because the X-men had the Phoenix force on their side to give them a distinct advantage.

Anyone bringing up AvX needs to remember that this is the same comic in which Thing beat Namor underwater. Complete and utter nonsense, that story arc.

In terms of raw strengh, Hulk can achieve power as much as Superman does, which just by releasing from Supermans grab, sended Sups to the space (comic fact, on a marvel/dc crossover). Let´s not forget that Superman can actually pull two huge planets, one on each hand. Not only that, Hulk have a really really fast regeneration rate. There was one villain whom used a laser bean at least hotter than the sun and was able to open a small hole on him... and he was still coming and just grabbed the guys head with one hand (the laser was coming from the villains eyes). The wound healed as fast as the light heat would carve him (comic fact). So, disintegration is not really efficient as an hand-to-hand combat against it.

Besides, in almost all the Marvel universes, Hulk is the only survivor from all the other superheroes... he can be ageless as well, not only that but resilient and can even adapt in a case of a lack o f oxigen.
