After Godzilla set the opening day U.S. box office record for 2014 so far on Friday, everyone was projecting Godzilla to beat Captain America: The Winter Soldier and have the best opening weekend of 2014 so far. However, Godzilla saw a larger than expected dropoff on Saturday, and the opening weekend box office projections have now been revised downward. Godzilla is now estimated to have a $93.2 million opening weekend.
