Nicholas from Movies Hate You Too writes:
In 1954, less than a decade after two atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Godzilla first rampaged through Tokyo. Unlike the leveled cities that were made of wood and stone, Godzilla tore through a Tokyo made of cardboard and plastics. The destruction he caused may have been movie make-believe but the allegory he represented was very real. Sixty years later the metaphor of what Godzilla represents may be less poignant but his appetite for entertaining destruction remains as high as ever.
The "Lightning Breath" was cool ;-)
I enjoyed this movie much more than I did Amazing Spiderman 2
This movie could have been so much better ... The story is all over the place and apart from Cranston the casting was terrible
