Sixense CEO Hints at Netflix Streaming in VR with Oculus Rift

VRFocus - Sixense, the company behind the STEM motion controller, has hinted at video streaming service Netflix moving into virtual reality (VR) video with the Oculus Rift headset. CEO Amir Rubin suggested as much speaking at a recent panel on VR at the NeuroGaming Conference in San Francisco, California. He revealed that key members of the Hollywood community, including Sixense co-founder Avi Arad, were interested in VR and were investing in Netflix, going on to say that streaming VR with the Oculus Rift will be 'gigantic'.

The story is too old to be commented.

SMH...hey Netflix, how about you catch up to your competitors first, and provide streaming movie rentals first, THEN waste all the resources you want on the VR fad.

What would be the purpose of this?

So that nobody will know if your watching My Little Pony.

Bring on the BBC documentaries! I wanna be IN space; IN the ocean. Sweet

That would actually be pretty amazing. An iMax experience from the comfort of your home albeit with a projector strapped around your head lol.

Hope they make the Oculus comfortable to wear for long periods of time...
