The only properties that will be considered cannon (as far as the new films are concerned) is the new Rebels TV show and the films. That's the way it should be - the films should always take precedence imo.
And the Clone Wars movie/TV stuff. I get that stuff being the firm foundation, but I don't get how pre-ROTJ stuff is currently cataloged.
Heck, in one of the Clone Wars Lost Missions episodes Yoda specifically mentions Darth Bane by name and what he established during his lifetime. Does that mean that set of stories is part of the continuity?
Yeah, it would be too much to try to work within the Expanded Universe. Although, it does kind of question the point of the Expanded Universe.
"In short, any book, comic, or videogame set post-Return Of The Jedi would now be released under the ‘Legends’ banner."
Is this the official word regarding the EU? I keep seeing articles pop up saying that ALL stuff that's not even post-Return is now non-canon.
