Early ‘Star Wars’ Storyboards Show Off a Far, Far Different Universe

ScreenCrush: No movie ends up looking exactly like its creators initially intended, but that’s doubly true for science fiction an fantasy films. In the case of something as beloved as George Lucas’ ‘Star Wars,’ seeing the original designs and concepts for characters as iconic as Darth Vader and R2-D2 can be downright shocking. Some early storyboards from the 1977 classic have made their way online and these rough sketches paint a very different portrait of some of your favorite heroes and villains in the ‘Star Wars’ universe.
