FFFFFUUUUUUUUU!!!!!! there gonna go with the Ultimate Universe Symbiote >:( I knew it!!! damn!!!! Im pissed!!

I still have hopes that Oscorp captured the symbiote from a meteor/the moon or something, but by the looks its going to be an artificial suit from the Marvel Ultimate Universe ;/

While i have mixed feelings about this , what's the point of using the 616 origin of venom , when it's so tied to the Secret Wars crossover , and when you're going to alter it anyway ?

Might as well go with the simpler and more grounded Ult origin for Venom , wich still can provide a true version of the character .. unlike that crap in Spiderman 3 .

The alien origin is only relevant if you allude to the rich Marvel background or future alien symbiotes . The movie can't , Spiderman is alone at Sony alongside spiderman centric chars

I know, but the 616 Eddie Broc is a lot more interesting than the UU version. I also dont like the symbiote not being sentient like the alien version. I just hope that they do a better job than SP3 and finally do some justice to Venom

Nothing prevent mixing both versions . Hell there hasnt been a single Marvel movies yet , bet it from Fox , Marvel or Sony , that hasnt mixed ultimate and 616 elements .

For the good movies , it's even usually ultimate designs and origins with the core essence of the 616 character kept

Don't agree entirely. You keep it as its core, then alter the minor things from there. For example it comes from space, but instead of directly leading into Venom maybe oscorp finds it and starts altering it.

At least then it makes sense to create Carnage from it, and you could easily lead into Flash Thompsons venom. Which in my opinion is the only way Sony can make a legit Venom franchise like they plan.

it being from space is the minor aspect actually . Unless you plan to go symbiote planet crap (so far the stories involving it and the race as a whole were awful) .

it being a lab experiment living being doesnt prevent the thing from leading to carnage then flash venom .

Again i've seen no adaptations follow the either the 616 or ultimate universe wholly and solely .

Hell i dont see many people complaining that Electro is mostly a variation on the ultimate version , or that Nick Fury is lifted from Ultimates instead , Movie Hawkeye a mix between the Ultimate look and the 616 personality (even if of course the U Clint is a racist , psychopath jerk) . Nor the use of much more grandiose Shield installations like the Triskelion .

It's so annoying. I don't read Ultimate comics for a reason, and if they switch out Peter Parker like rumors are floating on about, I'm done till the next reboot.
