The Walking Dead Spin-Off is Coming, But What Should it Cover?

Otaku Dome:

It’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly 4 years since the TV adaption of famed Robert Kirkman comic The Walking Dead first graced our TVs. Even more crazy is it’s insane popularity, which not only helped the original comics grow in popularity (though the comics had a pretty big following already), but it also broke history making TV ratings records. With all the success of the on-screen adaption of the comic, you’d think that it’d be popular to sustain it’s place in the entertainment industry forever, that’s why The Walking Dead fans from around the world were shocked to hear AMC announce a companion/spin-off series to their original hit.

The spinoff will give writers way more freedom without all of the comic book character etc.
Would be interested in what kind of budget it would have.

Plus, you could go off with some of the characters if the current show gets too big. I would love to see the Lee and Clementine story but the thing is, it is set in the south like the current show. Time to move the story to the Atlantic North East, Boston and up through Maine.

Yes, I said it, zombies with a New England Accent.

Naww, just do a live action Lee & Clem spinoff. Keep it close to the source material. Have it cross over with TWD original series, with Rick & friends, every now and then.

That'll be good enough...

spin off from the zombies' perspective

That would actually be pretty hilarious, going for the Warm Bodies vibe. They could also give it a serious look into the life of a zombie, like the only true control they have over themselves is their inner thoughts or something, due to their past lives as being...alive.

Just make who ever writes the telltale games walking dead do this script for this series because at this point, it seems like the game is written and directed much better than the ongoing tv series.
