These are just some of my favorite films that Philip Seymour Hoffman, the actor and one of the stars of the new film "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" has been in over the years that I enjoyed either based solely on their performance or it was just a generally well made and enjoyable film that they happened to part of in a supporting capacity.
HP: Philip Seymour Hoffman had just a few scenes left to film for “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay” when he was found dead in his New York City apartment in February.
While the cast and crew took a short break following Hoffman’s untimely death, upon returning, director Francis Lawrence had some critical choices to make regarding how to proceed with the film. As he explained in a HuffPost Live interview on Friday, the filmmaker eventually decided against using computer-generated imagery to finish out Hoffman's remaining scenes.
To each their own. Plutarch Heavensbee was never as integral to Mockingjay as Catching Fire anyway, not so much to demand a CG replica.

obviously capote is his most noteworthy performance as he won an oscar, i would say he was also equally good in the film; doubt wherein he played a priest, it was so convincing and natural, he had a lot of other good roles but those two films were his best.
