I mean... it is all true tho... people actually think that The Hunger Games is much different from Twilight? Think again.... seriously... think again.

sjaakiejj3699d ago

Major difference - Hunger Games has a story.

TheHergulaX3698d ago

So does Twilight, yet it was poorly executed...

pompombrum3699d ago

Still a better love story than twilight!

Seriously though, it's entertaining. I went into the first one expecting a Hollywood version of Battle Royale and was pleasantly surprised.

TheHergulaX3698d ago

It is actually poorly executed on film, similar to Twilight...

Saying that The Hunger Games has a better love story than Twilight is like saying that my broken pen is a bit more together than your completely destroyed one... best of a bad situation, to put it simply.

Don't get me wrong tho, I never offended The Hunger Games' creation, I simply stated that they are very similar in story and context... The Hunger Games is simply more well executed... that it is... they are still lackluster compared to what they should actually be like...

and it actually got a few action scenes . The most packed scene i could remember from twilight were the lame baseball game with vamps .

I dont even see how people can pretend they are the same , and i'm not even a fan . The only common link , is both being teen novel series sensations .

That aside the Honest trailer is awesome and funny , as usual

TheHergulaX3698d ago

Yeah, but I actually never said that I thought The Hunger Games was bad, I just feel that people don't really realize how similar of a story the two franchises have. I mean, I am not talking about quality of acting or production, I'm talking storyline similarities and script...

Defectiv3_Detectiv33699d ago

Yes, there is definitely a difference between Hunger Games and Twilight, THG is actually respectable.

TheHergulaX3698d ago

Well of course it is respectable... I mean most films are, even Twilight films, they were created for people's enjoyment and pleasure. I rarely disrespect a film, neither did I do it now, I simply stated that The Hunger Games is not that much different from Twilight, I never said that it was bad...

Defectiv3_Detectiv33698d ago

Once again I disagree. Bea(?) is just a pathetic character. Her biggest conflict is which guy is taking her to the prom. It's basically a cheesy romance novel for teenage girls that has some really questionable ideas. Edward is like 100 years old, what is he doing in highschool trying to pick up chicks?

THG doesn't deserve to be lumped into the same category. It has bolder ideas and more fleshed out characters. The films are well made and entertaining. I don't see anything wrong with them besides the fact that they are more female oriented. It's not so different than superhero films, which are more male oriented.
