Let me be the fist to say Who and Huh?

ajax173712d ago

Yeah, that's what I thought. I've never heard of the guy.

-Foxtrot3712d ago

I don't think he's been a lead character in anything remotely interesting.

Long as they don't cast someone like Zac Efron or Michael Cera then I'm fine

Garethvk3712d ago

I figure unknowns will be common for many of the new roles as this is common for the series and they will also want to watch budget. It seems the big ones will play older characters.

Defectiv3_Detectiv33712d ago

Is he even British? Cuz I think he should be British. If you're going to play a villain in a Star Wars movie, you should probably be British. Ya know?

RetrospectRealm3712d ago

No, not really. Doesn't really matter.

Defectiv3_Detectiv33712d ago

Oh, I see what you are trying to do there. If people can go into a meltdown over Johnny Storm, I think I'm allowed to throw a tantrum over this! I won't settle until they cast a British actor in the role or I run out of bubbles! Your move Star Wars

RetrospectRealm3712d ago

I see what you're saying. But casting a British actor as a villain in Star Wars isn't as big as casting a black guy as a white character who is the brother to Invisible Girl, whom is also white and was casted as a white girl, and since the character has been around for so long and so beloved to comic book fans.

Defectiv3_Detectiv33711d ago

But Retrospect, invisibility doesn't have a color :)

There is just something about British villains, they are so deliciously evil. It's what we've come to expect from Star Wars, an evil British Empire. I doubt this Adam Driver character even knows how to properly rock a cape.

RetrospectRealm3711d ago

Well, every casting decision is disputed. Star Wars is all about casting unknowns and people that the 'audience wouldn't think could do it'.

How about an Indian villain. With a very thick Indian accent!

TURKEYonWH3AT3711d ago

Who is this guy gonna play??? Like what villain is his age or looks remotely similar to him? Don't go making up characters J.J. This story has already been written

This will never be as good as the original movies if they make Episode VII too silly or too serious! "Jar, Jar Binks"

"Anikin always moaning and crying about Obi won or the council?"

Episode 2 has him literally crying and throwing fits like an 8 year old brat that also reminds me of someone I hate in Episode 1. oh wait?

I think the music will also be as important then any this time around because the originals is so iconic and that's why the prequels didn't stand out because weren't as original or mesmerizing!
