Watch: John Cusack & Thomas Jane 'Drive Hard' In First Trailer For The Action Comedy

So, we've had "Drive," "Drive Angry" and now there's "Drive Hard." Of course, these films aren't at all related except by the fact that they're all about guys behind the wheel, and perhaps that everyone should stop using the word "drive" in their movie titles if the results are going to be this bad.

The first trailer for "Drive Hard" has dropped online and we're wondering why John Cusack agreed to star in this, and what amount of money Thomas Jane was paid to endure that wig. The man behind this one is director Brian Trenchard-Smith, whose rather amazing filmography includes "Tyrannosaurus Azteca," "Airforce 2 Down," "DC 9/11: Time of Crisis" and "Leprechaun 4: In Space," so with that in mind, manage your expectations. As for the story, it follows a thief who ropes in a former Formula 1 champion to be his getaway driver. And the rest writes itself.

eh, I'll watch it. That bit with the rubber bullets was gold. Something tells me the only reason this movie exists is because of the stupid money the Fast and Furious franchise is making.

no, the only movie that exists because of the stupid money the F&F franchise is making is Need For Speed.

this seems like your usual crime/comedy/action movie.

il watch it though. seems like it could be fun with some interesting plot twists along the way.
