i think that would be a better version slightly but the overall success of the franchise would not depend on that. whomever hermoine ends up with would not be that much of a difference, her ending up with ron has also its good side by giving all three of not much of a conflict and it would not have pushed rons character aside by giving more significant screen time to hermoine being harry's partner.
