Good god, Zac stay the hell away from Star Wars

RetrospectRealm3735d ago

I think he'd be good. He's not a bad actor. He's just always cast in teenager-type movies.

-Foxtrot3735d ago (Edited 3735d ago )

No he's not, he's a crap....the reason hes stil in the bussiness is because hes Hollywoods "pretty boy" to draw in the young female audience. All hes cast in is romantic comedies because thats all he can do

After high school musical thats the last thing star wars fans want to see

pompombrum3734d ago

I've only ever seen him in one movie (New Years Eve) and I didn't mind him in it. Sure he isn't exactly getting jobs because of acting talent but he is still a better actor than Hayden Christensen. Can't say I'd be excited to see him in the new Star Wars movies but being honest, it would be suicide to cast him in it as the internet would explode.

You're being unfair , he was just fine in a few indie flicks .. as he obviously want to be less typecasted . He's hardly the wooden Channing Tatum .

While many miles and earth below , i remember people having the same kind of reaction for Dicaprio or Depp after their teenage hearthrob phase and Titanic .. and look at the pedigree and filmographies now

@Baka-akaB

The difference with them though Baka is that when they were younger the world and the TV/Film industry was a very different place.

If you compared most the stuff they were on compared to Zac with High School Musical and all that cheesy Disney crap there is a huge difference.

Dicaprio and Depp are good actors aswell...Zac is not.

Baka-akaB3734d ago (Edited 3734d ago )

Except it's hardly different . Be it in tv shows or movies , plenty do dislike and bash the silly teenage girls' male and idols and crushes . It's pretty much a ritual .

Most still have the crap career they deserved , some got better at the craft, and a minority with actual talent and or the proper connexions went on to get a better career .

I'll only agree that both example are far better actor and will probably always will be better than him . But it's not as if something as bad as HS musical give you an opportunity to act well . Just like Depp had to deal with mediocrity in 21st Jump street to the point he got fed up and left

Anyway going back to the subject at hand , i wont bother judging him on kiddie crap i couldnt even stomach to watch , and after seeing a bit more in more serious films , i'm ok with giving him a chance .

If such casting is killed and a better actor comes along ? Cool . The original star wars cast were mostly nobodies and only a few good actors in the lot . They'd get murdered online if the star wars saga was some new 2014 blockbuster ip

DarkBlood3735d ago

well damn ok, Hope disney knows what the hell they are doing here im not even going to judge the movie by a single actor but as a whole.

Soldierone3735d ago

I think Hollywood found a way for free promotion. Just keep casting "WTF!" choices and watch the internet explode haha

Double_O_Revan3734d ago

The funny thing is, this picture was posted a while ago. I think Disney took it seriously.
