With “The Empty Hearse” positively opening Sherlock series 3, the second episode, “The Sign of Three,” had to build on its success. Fortunately for us, this is Sherlock and it continued to deliver with an excellent episode.

Personally, I was less impressed, and for me it was probably the weakest of the episodes/movies so far.

Acting-wise and comedy were great, but I just really never cared about the 'mystery', mostly because it took so long to actually be about that mystery.

Don't get me wrong, it's still a very good watch, but it just somehow felt a bit too off-track.

I don't think they could have done a better episode based around a wedding. I really enjoy watching Sherlock. The hour and half really works for the show and I wish there were more. Maybe 3 in first half of year and 3 second half of the year but then everyone involved have so much else going on that Sherlock is not their number 1 priority but they keep doing it for the love they have for the show and their fans.

I think it was one of the top 3 Sherlock episodes - it was like the Sherlock version of a rom-com.
