People vegging out on the couch for hours at a time isn’t a new phenomenon–but their viewing habits while doing so are changing, according to a recent statement by Netflix. Instead of switching between multiple shows and progressing slowly through each, users are charging through entire seasons in marathon viewing sessions. As reported by the Wall Street Journal: “”Our viewing data shows that the majority of streamers would actually prefer to have a whole season of a show available to watch at their own pace,” Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s chief content officer, said.
