Paul Rudd Set to Star in Marvel's Ant-Man

Marvel: "Marvel’s “Ant-Man” has found its hero in Paul Rudd, who will star in the new film from director Edgar Wright hitting theaters July 31, 2015!"

Fantastic choice in my opinion

Marvel does some fantastic casting...I wish Warner Bros with DC would learn something for them.

Marvel chooses casting based on what they can do and if they can pull off the role while DC chooses people lately based on how much they will be able to sell tickets in advertising or how many people they will draw in to watch it. Batman - Ben Affleck (Argo won an Oscar), Gal Gadot (The eye candy of the film) - Wonder Woman, Grant Gustin (Glee for the eye candy + younger audience) - The Flash/Arrow.

Not to mention they have no idea what they are doing, they seem to be rushing everything. A sequel to the Man of Steel is turning into a Justice Legue film at this point, we should have at least three or four films of different members of the JL before they start thinking of that like how Marvel did Hulk, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor and Captain America before the Avengers.

Which is why Marvel is rolling out Ultron in the next Avengers movie, who is supposed to be created by Ant Man(his film won't be coming out until afterwards, and he wont be in the next Avengers).

Personally I find DC to properties to usually have higher production value and better talent associated with them.

Bit of an odd choice really, but I like it. Rudd is such a cynical comedian, it's hard to envision him jumping on the superhero bandwagon. Not that he's any stranger to commercial films but they usually skew towards a more mature demographic.

he was the front runner for the role anyway. i think it was a good choice, a lot of speculations before but im glad they announced it already, im more curious on who will be the villain and who will be cast as the wasp.
