Whatever man.
This movie better be the greatest X-men movie to ever be put on celluloid.
Bryan Singer has lots to make up for after the Superman Returns and I liked the direction Fist Class was going. This to me is heading backwards, with an old hand "style" directing.

I want to go to the theater and see an X-men movie that could not be made by anyone else, not visualized by anyone else and completely knock my socks out.

Exactly what the Man of Steel did.
Exactly what First Class did.

I see the trailer to this movie and I fall asleep quicker than Nyquil induced coma.
and that last Wolverine movie? stunk to high heaven.

Going to have to disagree. I think that wolverine movie was the best xmen movie yet. it was Raw and the swordplay was fast paced and edge of your seat. And this trailer for the next xmen looks incredible. Looks like no other xmen movie can compare to it at all. You got problems if that puts you to sleep. Maybe your the type who needs constant mind numbing action like a transformers movie to stay awake. I prefer drama over action. Bet you fell asleep during the dark knight too.

Though yes... superman returns was garbage on so many levels.

No Dark Knight trilogy was amazing, but Bryan Singer is no Nolan. Drama has its place but superhero movies are just that superhero movies not Days of our lives.

By the way I hated the transformer movies.

I mostly agree with MilkMan. First Class is the best X-men movie to date, and Bryan Singer wasn't involved with that. I had high hopes for DOFP until I found out the last film Singer made was Jack the Giant Slayer...I still have hopes for DOFP but the odds are not stacked in it's favour.

The trailer was ok. It was exciting to actually see the film (that's how much I'm looking forward to it) but there was nothing in the trailer itself with that "WOW!" factor...except James McAvoy's acting. Man, I really just want to see McAvoy and Fasbender play Prof X and Magneto from now on. I genuinely think Patrick Stewart will need to raise his game in the Prof X role for this film.

As for The Wolverine...it was good, not as good as First Class and X2 though. I certainly wouldn't call it "raw", infact that was my biggest complaint about the film: the action is so visceral you can't help but notice every time the camera cuts away from blood or dismemberment. I found it really jarring. It's fine not having gore in say Batman or Superman because they're punching, but for some reason in The Wolverine I really noticed how hard they tried to get the 12 rating. Really wish they could make a 18 rated version.

i have a feeling bishop would only be in just for a couple of scenes, x men DOTFP is easily my most anticipated film for next year, i hope it will deliver, if this fails then thats it for the x men films, it is risky to combine the failure of x men 3 with the success of first class.
