Love it. I absolutely love it. While we don't get to see much of the apes, it's obvious between this and the first image that was released how much better the VFX have become. On top of that, this is all about the atmosphere and it's pretty damn awesome. I can't wait to see more of this one.

I can't wait to see more of this. The last one was absolutely incredible. Andy Serkis is fully deserving of an Academy Award and they need to fix that crap.

No shit. His snub for that year was nothing short of ridiculous. He made that movie as powerful as it was, all without saying a damn thing (well except for the very end). That for me is the definition of amazing acting.

Can't agree with you more. He was the very essence of that movie in every way. So what if it wasn't his face we saw, it was his performance that we all witnessed with a coat of paint on it.

Really can't believe they didn't get James Franco back, I thought the sequel would of been great to see tensions between Will and Caesar heighten with them being on opposite sides. Thought it might of expanded on why Caesar would be more protective of humans and how the two sides of the apes would spilt between those for the humans and those against.

If Will had died at the end of this film or got badly hurt then it would of set up the third film quite nicely in my opinion

I agree. It would have been nice to see his arc finished up completely in this film, though I'm not all that upset about it either.

I don't know that they'd necessarily be on opposite sides either and that their arc together was wrapped up nicely. Still would have been great to see exactly what happened to him though.

Still might get to see what happened - perhaps this is partly motivation for him.

Rise was a big suprise as it came out with low expectations for many. I remember our press screener was a 10 AM Friday one, not the usual 7 PM ones we get Mon-Wed so it seemed as if the studio was keeping their distance, but wow, what a great time it turned out to be.

seems like Ceaser's become a bit more militant since the first film.

anyway, can't wait for this one.
