This is the question that I asked myself when I watched last season’s finale again this afternoon before the season 3 premiere. When new character Senator Andrew Lockhart, the chairman of the committee investigating the Langley bombing, I immediately liked this guy. Regular viewers of Homeland know how over the top the story can be so when someone asks a really good question like this you kind of want to like them. Season 3 opens up with Carrie Mathison sitting in front of a Senate committee, led by Sen. Lockhart, 58 days after the destruction of C.I.A. building being asked the tough questions. Given Carrie’s history you feel like she is being thrown under the bus. Why isn’t Saul handing this?
