New dramas are a tough sell these days and it is no secret that NBC has struggled the last couple years with keeping a show on the air. Their most consistent programming has been The Voice and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. I think NBC has finally found something, besides these shows, that can be their network calling card. Let’s be honest, being known for a music show and a police drama that has run its course is not something to be proud of, but with The Blacklist, they may finally be on to something.
Fight For Paradise Review: This reality show is nothing new but there are so many uncomfortable moments that will definitely give you the ick.
Brigands: The Quest For Gold Review: The Italian drama follows a group of brigands, embarking on a journey to reclaim power and some hidden gold.
Dinner with the Parents Review: It's a family comedy series following the Langers, who often turn their family dinners into a disruptively chaotic affair.
The show was a tremendous surprise for me. Great premiere episode that had me saying "I didn't see that coming" more than a few times in the episode. I checked out the show and much like Hannibal, I'm now hooked after one episode. Other than SVU, those are the only two NBC shows I DVR, and it looks like season one of The Blacklist will be as entertaining and riveting as season one of Hannibal was.
