Ever since Harry Potter made its way into theaters in 2001 there has been a strong attempt to become the next great Teen Fantasy novel film adaption. Over the last few years we were hit with films like The Twilight series, The Hunger Games series and a slew of Harry Potter films. Now the year is 2013 and the film industry is still attempting to find the next breakout hit. This time this film adaption comes from The Mortal Instruments series whose novels were written by Cassandra Clare. The series at the moment spans six novels with more to be written later. The series became a top selling hit with its teenage target audience and film studios quickly jumped at the chance to adapt the novels to film.
