Eric Red, who wrote The Hitcher and co-wrote the classic Near Dark with Kathryn Bigelow, will continue his directorial trajectory (started with films like Body Parts, Bad Moon and 100 Feet) with Dead Of Night. Based on a novel by Jonathan Maberry, Red will also adapt the material for the screen – if he finds the financing.

This is really cool news for me. That guy in the picture, is Jon Mayberry the writer of this series and someone who I consider to be a friend of mine. Without his mentoring, I wouldn't be anywhere close to where I am with my own personal projects. Great story teller that man.
