Why Is Disney Hiding Star Wars?

CB

Am I the only one who senses a disturbance in The Force?

Twice now in a four-week span, Walt Disney Studios has had opportunities to ease the minds of Star Wars fans around the globe by revealing even the slightest inkling of information regarding J.J. Abrams’ Episode VII: The As-Yet-Unnamed Sequel. And twice, the studio opted to remain silent.

probably to keep it a suprise near the release instead of giving it all out

Crazay3902d ago

I think it has lots to do with that and making sure they have their story nailed down tight before they give any form of hints to what the new trilogy is about.

DarkBlood3902d ago

yeah otherwise the slightest mistake and everybody goes crazy except for a select few lol

The journo is a moron: "Twice now in a four-week span, Walt Disney Studios has had opportunities to ease ... And twice, the studio opted to remain silent."

Disney can release information whenever they want and they won't until they are ready. Moron can't figure that out.

Agreed, I think they want everything settled and ready before making big reveals.

It's a bummer, but I'd rather things be done correctly and have no information, than the other way around.

jar jar binx is making a comeback gotta keep the comeback a suprise.

colonel1793902d ago

It's probably because they don't have things locked down yet.

Bennibop3902d ago

Because that's how all Star Wars have been released/ made! With very little info being outside the inner circle!

darklordzor3902d ago

Not really, all of the prequels had extensive coverage, with Episode 3 even having daily/weekly pics from the set posted on the official Star Wars site.

We're talking about J.J. Abrams here, he's the type that thrives on the "mystery box" concept in marketing his directed films.

Deadpoolio3902d ago

Actually last I heard JJ Abrams has either dropped out or is probably going to drop out

coolbeans3902d ago (Edited 3902d ago )

You scared me for a minute there. I am actually making a blog right now as to why he's a bad choice.

That rumor's been shot down:
