Make a wish and it comes true for Disney. The studio that helped scare a billion dollars out of moviegoers with Helena Bonham Carter’s wicked portrayal of the Red Queen is bringing her back…in a more angelic light.
According to press release, Director Kenneth Branagh’s adaptation of the Cinderella fairytale has cast Carter as the saintly godmother who will grant Cinderella (Lily James) the needed magical powers to win the heart of her fair prince (Game of Thrones’ Richard Madden) and thwart the dark desires of her evil stepmother, cast beautifully as Cate Blanchett.
