Neil Jordan's underrated 2012 horror film Byzantium is one of the greatest vampire films ever made, with stunning performances and a rich, feminist subtext.
With a certain big budget franchise finally over and Hollywood fads seeming to move on to zombies, vampires are apparently being left undisturbed in their resting places for lovers of the original folklore to unearth. The Irish filmmaker chats with Den of Geek about his new vampire film, Byzantium, as well as the cancellation of The Borgias. He also reveals who from Interview with the Vampire he wanted to see drawing blood again.
