Last week's episode of Defiance was the first to really start living up to the potential of the concept and deliver characters that were as interesting as the world they inhabited. This week's installment wasn't quite as strong, but still enjoyable enough that it's now clear Defiance cleared that initial hurdle and has settled into a comfortable groove.

Good episode. I'm not quite sure yet where this is going. It really doesn't seem to have a goal other than to exist. I do still like watching it.
