The year is winding down and yours truly has been catching up on all the limited releases of 2012 since just about all the marquee flicks have been screened. The Guilt Trip is the only notable wide release that got ranked while documentaries Marley and Jiro Dreams of Sushi received some play time this past weekend. And the top ten was given another shuffle.

This week has a good mixture of new releases including one of the last Oscar darlings to be released on disc but also some exciting catalog titles across several genres. For me personally, not just as a Blu-ray enthusiast, I’m ecstatic about the release Star Trek: The Next Generation – Season Three. Also being released is Barbara Streisand’s newest film along with a classic, Mark Wahlberg’s newest to coincide with Pain & Gain, and an earlier Baz Luhrman film leading up to the release of The Great Gatsby. That’s just the tip of the iceberg however- there’s quite a few more catalog titles being released as well.

Paramount has announced a Blu-ray and DVD release date for the comedy The Guilt Trip. And lucky you, the DVD is set to release just in time for Mother’s Day. The Guilt Trip, starring Seth Rogen and Barbra Streisand, will release on DVD and Blu-ray on April 30, 2013.

The Guilt Trip is releasing here in Australia on January 24th, and this new clip, called “Legend Couch” features the legend herself, Barbara Streisand, and co-star Seth Rogen (hardly a legend), sharing some banter as they introduce the teaser trailer for the film.
looks it could be pretty funny movie, not a big fan of barbara, but willing to go check it out.
