With Bilbo and his friends about to venture into thousands of cinemas across the globe, I thought I’d remind us all of five of the most popular fantasy family films. In my eyes they are the epitome of what I classify as a fantasy film. They have either fantastical creatures, take place in mystical lands or they have wild, exciting scenarios in which our characters have a great adventure.
Bros Review: The series, as the title suggests, is about two adult men who want to behave like children and we are not here for that.
Going Home With Tyler Cameron Review: This is a simple, no-nonsense but cliched watch, with Cameron's boyish charms taking centre stage.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
I don't even have a family and I still watch Labyrinth. Twas a very good film.
And isn't LotR a bit on the dark side for a family film? What with the neck breaking, blood, beheading, burning alive, being pumped full of arrows, and not to mention all the imagery that could pose very frightening for a younger mind.
