Entertainment Fuse:
With Assassin’s Creed III releasing to guaranteed sales and a generally warm critical reception, Ubisoft is moving to adapt its flagship series for the big screen. The studio's ambitions are not to be taken lightly, considering they’ve secured Michael Fassbender (X-Men: First Class, Prometheus) to head up the project, though no specifics have been given if he will be playing Desmond Miles, one of his many Assassin predecessors (safe money is on Altair) or tackle multiple roles (bad idea).
After the failure of the 2016 movie, Disney plans to give it another go and will soon reboot Assassin's Creed with a new cast.
WGTC: "It's been revealed just how many movies that Fox had planned on making that Disney will be cutting now that it's merged with the studio."
Tomb Raider and Assassin’s Creed are the perfect examples of why movies will never replicate the feeling of playing a great game.
In my opinion the first resident evil movie was great. Not like great great. But I thought it was a genuinely good movie and stayed relatively close to the source material. Not based off any particular game but still felt like it belonged. Every one after that was just straight up terrible.
Possibly the first mortal combat was okay. Especially considering it was made in the 90’s so that’s gotta count for something being as good/bad as it was..
