Some themes are tough to tackle when it comes to film and directors have to tread lightly, especially when having some sort of rape involved. Its a testament to a film’s strengths when you are nauseated and unsettled without being shown anything directly. Its another testament entirely when you feel conflicted walking out of the theater as you ponder the idea of enjoying a film displaying such a demeaning series of events.
