TheNexusNews reports: The final episode of Halo 4 – Forward Unto Dawn was released and it makes the entire series complete. However it may not necessarily mark the end of the Halo series, there will be more incentives such as these in the future quite after the release of Halo 4.
Due to the series massive popularity there is a huge chance that it will be continued with a story even separated from the game itself but in the same universe. However that is unknown at the moment, but what is certain is that the series was indeed a very big risk, and one that definitely payed off.
Clickonline writes: "Much of the criticism of Forward Unto Dawn has been leveled at the slow pace of the first half of the film but I found it perfectly engaging if a little light. And when the action kicks in towards the end the economical use of CG and explosions was more than adequate to keep me entertained."
Richard Cardenas "This really doesn’t need any saying, and I apologize for getting this out there this late, but if you are a Halo fan, you have got to see Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. This live-action web-series has been collected into one convenient Blu-ray for you to enjoy as a complete 90-minute movie. I actually really enjoy that they did this because waiting week after week while Machinima released each 15-minute episode was killing me. You have to understand, this is a damn good Halo series."
This was actually amazing. They should do something about extending the series, or making a movie. But i think with a movie it would have to be crazy epic, with a free web series they don't have to tackle a tsunami of hype at least.
FleshEatingZipper says: "It’s easy, probably too easy, to pass off the Halo 4 web series Forward Unto Dawn as merely a piece of marketing. That’s what it is, but it’s also a pretty good expansion of the Halo universe. I only caught the first of five parts when it debuted online because I honestly wasn’t interested in seeing it in 15 minutes chunks meted out every week, but watching it all in full definition Blu-ray end to end is easily the best way to enjoy the saga and an enjoyable morsel of Halo legacy."
Personally wouldn't pay for this series. There are a lot of great gaming ones I enjoyed, but I don't think i'd pay for a marketing tool.
A brilliant end to a brilliant series. I really hope they do a Halo movie.
