IGN:
It's New Girl episodes like "Halloween" that really make use of Jess's unemployment this season, as evidenced by her wicked zombie attire. However, Jess also had to sort out her feelings for Sam, which proved to be the central focus of her storyline this week. I was happy to see this story arc quickly and mercifully resolve itself, as Sam's character never really stood out as a keeper anyway. In fact, the more interesting subplot for Jess this week was her aforementioned zombie arc, in which she hashed out her feelings with a friendly Frankenstein and Mummy. Likewise, her scenes with Nick were among some of the stronger one-on-ones, more so than any scene featuring Sam.
