From Deadline:
Matthew Vaughn has decided not to direct the sequel to 20th Century Fox‘s hit spinoff X-Men: First Class. Ready for the next shocker? Atop the studio’s replacement short list is Bryan Singer, who launched the X-Men feature franchise with the first two superb films and who has been a guiding influence in this spinoff by writing the treatment and producing. If this works out, Singer and Vaughn would essentially be switching roles.
Does the ultra-violent new movie, Boy Kills World, glorify violence or encourage a world without it? We see the latter.

Wow, that's odd. I loved First Class and hoped Vaughn would stay on board for the second one. Can't really complain though if Bryan Singer comes back to helm.
I wonder why people keep working for Fox. They always complain about conditions, budget cuts, and then overall cuts to the film that come from the studio.....yet they go back.
I guess money just speaks. Singer is a good director so I'd be interested in it if he takes over.
And it's been confirmed. Singer is back at the helm. :D
