Push-Start Review: Paranormal Activity 4

Vicki Dolley writes: "This franchise is as lifeless as the ghosts and demons that haunt them, and will bore you to death. If you want a horrifying scary movie for Halloween, don’t make it this: you’ll definitely be disappointed by the wooden performances, plot holes and almost non-existent frights. It should have been left alone, and it surely shouldn’t have been dragged out just to be milked for all it’s worth. Which is, as of this installment, not very much."

Glad to see this piece of junk movie fail.

I'm still bummed that I'll miss out on it, even though I know it's an incredibly predictive movie, with little to no scares. I think Sinister took a good chunk out of its sales, and it did sell less than the previous ones..

People still watch theses movies?? Smh

I don't know why I even bothered to see PE4, tbh. It wasn't just predictable, it was practically EXACTLY the same as Paranormal Activity 3...right down to having the exact same scares (e.g. a kid talking to something off-camera isn't scary) and ending scene. Sure, I expect an element of predictability with these types of movies, but this was just pure laziness. :(

It just wasn't the same scares, they were rushed. I'm a huge fan of the first 3 but this wasn't even an attempt to keep the franchise going. I guess they just had to have "anything" out before Halloween.
