Clickonline writes: "Without a doubt, Frankenweenie is Tim Burton’s best film in almost a decade, giving him the chance to tell a story that has been percolating in his brain since the early 80s. But while the central emotional connection is strong, the film loses confidence in its second half to its detriment. There are some scary moments for youngsters too."
