Chris D. at Skewed and Reviewed has posted his review of the premiere of Arrow. He likes the potential of the series but was bothered by many issues with what he saw.
I really liked the Arrow premiere. I tuned in just to check it out, with no intention of adding this show to my list of shows to record. It surprised me with the realistic take on violence, and the darker tone to the series. I don't know why, but I was expecting a smallville vibe, but I was pleased with it. Maybe because my expectations for the show were very low.
Same my expectations was low but boy i love this show. The ending surprised me i thought the mastermind was his step-father. I didnt like smallville one bit.
Some issues i did see but i got over it. Like how he is hacking that good when he's been gone for 5 years. Other than that its a good series. Loved how he killed somebody already.
My big issue was that they have already covered the character and history fairly well with Smallville. To me, this was to soon to go back and retell the story. That being said, there is potential here.

It was fairly close. Rich Orphan, was trapped on an island for a time, gets home, uses his fortune to fund his alter ego.
