After a massive haul at the box office that tallied more than $623 million at U.S. theaters, Marvel’s The Avengers is unsurprisingly dominating the home video market.
The Joss Whedon-directed superhero film, distributed by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, easily topped the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert chart, which tracks overall disc sales, as well as the dedicated Blu-ray Disc sales chart for the week ended Sept. 30.

This doesn't surprise me at all. I think anyone would have expected the sales to do well after how well the movie did.
The movie was selling well when I got it, then we went back a few days later and the giant stand was almost empty. All the collectors boxes were gone, but they still had a bunch of 3D version left.
I really hate this new idea of DVD case or Blu-ray case lol, maybe if they did that when Blu-ray first released, but this late its just annoying.
